Relationship Options

We aren't for everyone.   If all you want is someone to give you investment advice, we probably aren't a great fit.

Our goal is to develop deep relationships to provide meaningful, comprehensive financial planning that truly improves our clients’ lives — not to operate as a low-cost, investment-only manager.

Our fees are based on your needs, the complexity of your situation, and the level of service you’re looking for.

We offer two primary options.

1. Plan-Only Engagement

Think of this as working with an architect to design your home plans.

We help you design a comprehensive financial plan — the blueprint.

You are responsible for implementing the recommendations across investments, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and more.

  • Typically lasts 3–6 months
  • Does not include ongoing investment management
  • Charged as a flat fee

2. Ongoing Planning & Investment Management

We design the blueprint — and help bring it to life.

In this relationship, we act as the general contractor: coordinating professionals, implementing strategies, managing investments, and maintaining the plan as your life evolves.

This is how we serve the majority of our client families.

  • Includes comprehensive planning and ongoing investment management
  • The fee is typically based on a percentage of the household portfolio we manage for you

Our Process

1. Initial Meeting
We meet to see if there may be a good fit.

2. Information Gathering
We collect key documents — tax returns, estate planning documents, investment and retirement statements, and insurance policies — to prepare initial observations.

3. Strategy Discussion
We meet again to review those observations, discuss where we may add value, outline relationship options, and review costs.

4. Time to Reflect
We both take a few days to think it over. This is an important decision and shouldn’t be rushed.

5. Plan & Implementation
If we move forward together, we begin building your plan and implementing recommendations.

6. Ongoing Reviews
We meet regularly to review progress and adjust as your life, needs, and goals evolve.

What we ask of our clients

A successful relationship is built on communication, trust, and participation.

Be Engaged

Meet with us regularly — in person, by phone, Zoom, or email.
Please review the information we send and respond when appropriate.

Share Information

The more we understand about you, your family, and your financial life, the more value we can provide.

Our advice is only as strong as the information we receive — and everything you share is confidential by law.

Ask Questions

Financial decisions can feel unfamiliar or complex.

Ask questions until you feel comfortable with any concept or recommendation.

Speak Up

If something doesn’t make sense or causes concern, please tell us.

If we don’t hear otherwise, we’ll assume everything is okay.
