They say a picture is worth a thousand words. We agree. We start by creating a visual experience that displays your household...who is important to you, what resources will be available, both now and in the future, to use towards your financial goals. An intuitive, simplified overview of your financial situation can help you make more informed decisions about your future.
We support the average Joe with higher than average savings - from the hardworking business owner to the professional nearing retirement.
Men and women nearing retirement face a wide variety of financial challenges, but they all have one question in mind: “Will I have enough?” We help those who are nearing or entering retirement settle on the right strategies and solutions to meet their comfort level and individual needs. And while you might not consider yourself “rich,” we know you’ve spent your working years spending frugally and saving diligently. Our clients have a minimum accumulated nest egg of $500,000, although exceptions may be made for referrals.
We work with entrepreneurs and business professionals who’ve achieved significant financial success while staying focused on strategic saving. You’ve spent years building up your business or focusing on your career, now’s the time to ensure your finances work as hard as you do today and toward retirement.
Our perfect idea of a high-net-worth individual is the humble family man or woman who understands the value of hard work. Instead of sporting exotic cars or flashy mansions, you’ve built a safety net for your family’s future to ensure they can maintain a comfortable lifestyle into retirement.

Below are a few of the most common questions we get asked by prospective and current clients. Don’t see your question listed here? Give us a call to get it answered today.
What would you think if a doctor gave you a prescription or recommended surgery without first examining you, understanding your medical history or asking what medications you’re currently taking?
We do not believe in recommending investments without first developing a financial plan. This involves understanding your current financial situation (assets, liabilities, income and expenses) and the goals that you have set for yourself and your family. Financial planning is an ongoing process of setting goals, organizing your finances, developing and implementing strategies and regularly reviewing progress and making adjustments.
We strive to keep investment costs low, diversify, rebalance regularly and be smart about taxes.
Markets go up and markets go down, sometimes violently. Sometimes they stay down for months at a time. No one can time, predict, influence or control them and we don’t insult your intelligence by suggesting that we can or that we will try. Beware of those who do.
Volatility is an uncomfortable, albeit normal part of investing and a large part of our job is helping you understand and cope with that volatility. The two biggest determinants of long-term investment performance are behavior (how we respond to good and bad volatility) and asset allocation (how your money is diversified).
We typically use low-cost, tax-efficient, Exchange Traded Funds (ETF’s) in our portfolios and rebalance them on a regular basis and harvest tax-losses when appropriate.
We invest for the long-term, for total return (growth and income) and believe in diversification and asset allocation. Market timers and Jim Cramer followers will hate us for not being excitable or reactionary. Gold bugs will hate our unwavering optimism in the future.
We don’t recommend investments that are complex, illiquid, lack transparency, have surrender penalties, high fees/commissions and/or lot of leverage (debt). So that typically eliminates annuities, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs), Business Development Companies (BDCs), Managed Futures and alternative investments.
Your advisory team will be Allen & Vic. We operate much like a doctor and a physician’s assistant. Allen does most of the face-to-face meetings and Vic does most of the behind-the-scenes work.
We like to have regularly scheduled meetings that are customized to meet your needs. Most clients come in for a complete annual "physical" and then other meetings when something is a concern. We can meet in person, by phone or web for your convenience.
We don’t contact our clients each time the market hiccups, which is often...or when the media has a new crisis, which is even more often. That said, much like your relationship with your doctor, please contact us anytime you have concerns, questions, fears or you want to get together.
No, we have never been disciplined for unlawful or unethical actions.
